My interests are in the practical application of finance to business problems – raising finance (and in particular IPOs), the valuation of listed and non-listed companies, and exit strategies for business owners. This approach stems from an array business experiences (in particular, my time as a member of the New Zealand Stock Exchange) between the bookends of a Junior Lectureship while writing my Master of Commerce dissertation in 1973 and returning to the University in 1991 to undertake a PhD in Finance (which I completed in 2000).
