After a number of years working in financial accounting for large corporates, Lloyd spent 6 years as senior lecturer in the National University of Singapore.

Lloyd joined the Accounting and Finance department in 1989, spending the 1995/6 year in Canberra on leave. In addition to his current teaching in financial accounting, Lloyd has taught second year undergraduate finance and finance for the MBA degree.

Lloyd has published in local and international journals in a number of financial accounting areas.
